Recently it seems as if, instead of clearing up my occasional breakouts, it’s making them worse! I’m wondering if this could be happening because the tube is worn out and the salicylic acid has lost its ‘acidity’.

I’ve used Clearasil in the past and that work ok for me in treating acne, but not really in maintaining it. I began using Proactive about a month ago, and believe it or not, it doesn’t seem to help, if anything, the severity of my acne was worsened, so I need a new solution, please help in anyway. I’m not willing to pay big bucks for over the counter treatments or dermatologist(I’m a poor college student). So please leave any tips, thanks
